National cultural monument. The manor near by Turnov with Gothic stronghold gained Albrecht from Valdštejn after battle of Bílá hora. In 1669 it bought Lamotto from Frintroppu family and on place of the stronghold built Baroque mansion with tower, chapel and park. Since 1820 Sychrov belonged to Rohan French family, they it rebuilt and enlarged in Romantic Neo-Gothic.
There are authentic Neo-Gothic interiors with decorations of Czech artists and expositions of a worthy collection of French portrait painting, ceramics, a gallery of the Rohan family inside. In surroundigs of the mansion is a beautiful park with exotic wood species. Between years 1877 and 1880 there was living famous Czech composer Antonín Dvořák.
